Does anyone know which file contains the music from the Prison world in .flow? The Music folder contains files which seem to have all of the game's other music, but I've never been able to find a file which sounds like the music from the Prison. I've been wondering whether it might be one of the other tunes played backwards and slowed down, but even if that's true, I've still not been able to work out which one. Any ideas?
The music used for the prison world is bgm32.wav, slowed down to 50% (which results in it being pitched down as well).
Aha, you're absolutely correct. I'd have sussed it out myself if I weren't so inept - at some point, I copied the game's music over to the folder where I keep the rest of my music, and for some reason I left out that one file. I was looking at my copies and not at the originals. Now that you've confirmed the answer, I can see my mistake. Thanks for your help. :)
If it's not in the music folder, then you'd have to extract the file from the game.
Or you can find it on Youtube, as the OST is uploaded there.
Really depends on the effort you desire to put in.
I'm mostly interested in where/how it is stored, rather than in how to listen to it. I'm curious about why it's treated differently to the other music in the game.
I can't say for certain, I may eventually extract the files myself. However it's possible they're .oggs as those seem to be common.
As for the why, again all I can do is surmise. Though, I remember having to modify the soundtrack for Tsukihime some time ago. I used the folder 'CD' which was empty where I used specific names and file types so that the music would be used in the game, however prior to that the folder was empty, so the original track still remains in the game and isn't being used. So perhaps those that aren't included in the folder are the older tracks, or perhaps ones he never had the time to add, or perhaps the purpose for those are different and required different pathing and/or scripting, can't say for certain though.
